The homeowners in this case are an interesting couple. Humor and wisdom are the norm for them to get along with each other. Combining their characteristics, we set 'tolerance' as the main theme for the house, mainly use warm color scheme, such as large areas of browns, caramel, and milky white. Like a rich oil painting, it comes with calmness and composure, injecting strong vitality into the whole space.

The original layout of the house did not have a traditional foyer. After remodeling, we made the entrance area part of the living-dining room, with the original role fulfilled. Although it is not possible to watch through the living room and dining room at a glance, anyone who enters will still get a strong first impression from the colors they see.

The living room is embellished with black and walnut color items. French elements are mainly expressed by plaster line trimmed walls, plaster lamps, classical Chinese screens, black French double doors and vintage leather sofas. Combining together, an elegant spatial vision is well-created.

The design of DKL allows the whole space having different functions of meeting, dining and cooking. The space is also more layered by using weighty metal materials, Bulgari stone or warm cotton-linen fabrics to embellish. The center kitchen island is connected with the dining table, visually enlarging and brightening the space, satisfying the owner's imagination of an ideal living scenario.

The bedroom is the most private space where one comes home and unplugs. To create a warm and relaxing self-world, soft furnishings are used to make an addition. Earth-colored curtains, black blinds, moon-shaped lamps and woolen bedding all contribute to a cozy atmosphere. The whole room oozes warmth and quiet beauty. It makes sense that only homes can provide an unending sense of healing.
